About

At Haciendas Buenavista & Ocotales, a family legacy lives on. We pride ourselves on our socially conscious practices, our decades of knowledge and experience, and our purebred Brahman studs.

OUR STORY

Where It All Began

Our ranch business was started by our great grandfather in the early 1900s with traditional agriculture and livestock. In the 1970s, our grandfather brought a founding herd of Purebred Brahman heifers from Houston, Texas to Danli, Honduras, and began our passion for breeding. After him, our father, Ricardo Antonio Sevilla, focused on breeding registered Brahman cattle in order to provide studs for the herds in the area and encourage genetic improvement of these herds. In 2011, the National Federation of Agriculture and Livestock of Honduras (FENAGH) recognized his effort and dedication by naming their National Convention after him.

We are the fourth generation managing the family business, and we continue our great grandfather, grandfather and father’s work with pride in their legacy and a vision for a more sustainable and impactful future.
